Code of Conduct for Pupils
At Devi Matric Higher Secondary School, every student is expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline, behavior, and responsibility. The following code of conduct must be followed sincerely:
Punctuality and Uniform
Students must arrive at school on time, wearing the full, clean, and prescribed uniform on all working days and for all school functions.
School Timings
All students must strictly adhere to the school timing as prescribed.
Arrival Before First Bell
Every student is expected to be present in the school at least five minutes before the first bell rings.
Participation in Assembly
All students must take part in the morning prayer and assembly without fail. After the assembly, they must proceed silently and in order to their respective classrooms.
Discipline
Strict discipline must be maintained inside as well as outside the classrooms. Students must conduct themselves in an orderly and respectful manner at all times.
Silence in Premises
Students are not permitted to shout or play inside the classrooms or in the corridors during school hours.
Neat Appearance
Students must wear neat and well-maintained uniforms every day. Shirts should be smartly tucked in. Boys should ensure that their hair is trimmed at regular intervals to maintain a tidy appearance.
Completion of Homework
All homework must be completed diligently and submitted on time without fail.
Personal Belongings
Students are responsible for the safekeeping of their personal belongings. Wearing expensive jewelry or ornaments is strictly prohibited. The school management will not be responsible for any loss of such items.
Responsibility within School Premises
The school assumes responsibility for students only within the school premises. Any incidents occurring outside the premises are beyond the school's control.
Care for School Property
Students must not write or scribble on walls, furniture, or elsewhere within the school. Throwing papers, ink, or causing any damage is strictly forbidden. Any damage caused to school property must be compensated by the student at the discretion of the Principal.
Annual Examination Rules
Students absent for the annual examination without a valid reason will be considered detained. No re-examinations will be conducted. In exceptional cases, the Principal may consider the student's year-round performance for promotion.
Interaction During School Hours
Parents or guardians are not allowed to meet students or teachers during school hours. All inquiries must be made at the school office.
Fee Regulations
Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Late payment of fees may result in the student being barred from appearing for examinations.
School Diary
Students must bring their school diary on all working days and maintain it properly.
Parental Cooperation
Parents are requested to read and understand the school regulations carefully and ensure that their children abide by them in letter and spirit.
Positive Atmosphere
Students should always strive to create a happy and healthy atmosphere within the school. They must maintain a cheerful attitude and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Conduct, Punctuality & Discipline
At Devi Matric Higher Secondary School, we place great emphasis on maintaining discipline, punctuality, and good conduct among all our students. Every pupil is expected to uphold the dignity and values of the institution through their behavior, appearance, and actions.
Students must be punctual in attending school every day. Late coming should be strictly avoided. Regular attendance is essential for academic success, and students are expected to complete all homework and assignments on time.
Irregular attendance, habitual neglect of studies, disobedience, and any form of disrespect towards teachers or staff members are serious offenses and can lead to dismissal from the school.
It is compulsory for every student to attend school in full uniform, clean and neatly pressed. Footwear must be clean and well-polished. Personal grooming reflects discipline and self-respect, and it is taken seriously at our school.
Students are strictly prohibited from wearing gold ornaments or bringing any costly accessories to school. The school is not responsible for the loss of such valuables.
Each student is responsible for taking care of their own belongings, including books, notebooks, stationery, and personal items. Students must ensure their possessions are safe and properly maintained.
If any student accidentally or intentionally damages school property, it must be reported to the Principal immediately. Students may be required to bear the cost of repair or replacement, as applicable.
Admission to the school implies that both parents/guardians and students accept and agree to abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of the school, including those framed by the management from time to time.
Every student must be courteous, respectful, and well-mannered at all times. Misbehavior, use of foul language, or gross insubordination towards school authorities and teachers will be dealt with seriously and may lead to strict disciplinary action, including expulsion if necessary.
